Anyone know how to use this book reader? I won a Daisy Plextor Player as a raffle prize. Anyone know how this device works?

You mean the plextalk pocket? Hit 0 for the help file. That should get you going. If you turn it on without an SD card inserted, it will be in keypad learning mode where you can press buttons to find out their function. Also, there is a Tech Doctor podcast at http://www.dr-carter.com/ where they compare the Plextalk to the Bookport Plus. They demo several functions of the Plextalk so you might pick up some stuff by listening. I think there's a podcast on the player at blindcooltech.com as well although I could be remembering wrong. If you have specific questions later, I can help.

Hi.
If you have got the exact model of the plextalk you have it would be easier to help you. Plextalk has got several players out.
I personally own the plextalk pocket and the plextalk ptr2. Both of them are daisy recorders as well as players.
Now something about post2
You don't need to take out the card to go to the key describer mode you can press and hold down the menu key for about 5 seconds and it goes to key describer mode. Then when you finish with it you do the same to go out of it.
